The Financial Analyst is responsible for ad hoc and periodic analytical review of financial statements and data, assistance with the annual budget and external audits, performance and review of detailed cost analyses, and other special projects as assigned.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Prepares detailed cost analyses to evaluate effective use of resources. 

  • Analyzes and reviews ad hoc and periodic financial reports and data for accuracy, understand the financial status, identify gaps and discuss results with department management.

  • Track current financial data to alert stakeholders in case of deviation.

  • Develop predictive financial models to support organizational decision making.

  • Analyze processes to identify gaps that can improve profit margins.

  • Create written reports that enable management teams to make strategic decisions to meet business goals.

  • Assists in the preparation of the annual department and organizational budgets.

  • Prepares reports analyzing operating and capital budget to actual comparisons, identifying areas requiring further attention.

  • Prepares and coordinates journal entries.

  • Assists in the preparation of schedules for annual audit.

  • Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

 

We need someone who has:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably with a major in finance or related field; and two years related experience in all areas of Accounting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  

  • Experience with financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, costing, trend analytics, integrated accounting systems is preferred.

  • CPA is desirable
