Some jobs change lives. Others save them.
A Career With Purpose
Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center serves 170 hospitals and health care
institutions in the 26-county Texas Gulf Coast, Brazos Valley and East
Texas regions. Opening our doors in 1975, we’re no strangers to saving
lives. In fact, we collect about 800-1,000 blood donations every day.
Our mission is to partner with the community to help save and sustain
lives by providing a safe supply of blood, biotherapies, and related
services.
Our commitment to the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center mission starts
with our employees. Without our dedicated team, none of our past
accomplishments or future goals would be possible. Each day, our team
comes together as a family and dedicates themselves to our mission. We
act with care towards one another and value each and every donor who
spends their time with us. At the end of the day, we know that our work
makes a difference in someone’s life. The pride we share as a team and
as an organization translates into everything we do.
We offer competitive pay and a portfolio of benefits for our employees.
The need for blood is constant, and that means our employees must be
willing to work weekends and holidays as needed.

"I love my coworkers, or better yet my work family! I truly feel
we are a close, tight-knit family. We all have such different
roles but do our best to help each other in any way we can. Also,
even if I’m having a bad day coming to work makes it better thanks
to my amazing work family!"

"I feel that the biggest strength at The Blood Center is the
employees. The longevity of some of the employees is impressive
and is one of the reasons why I wanted to work here."

"There are many strengths that The Blood Center carries in my
opinion, but one of the biggest strengths is the opportunities
that they offer. If you’re interested in growth, all you have to
do is voice it and grow. The Blood Center has a great Education &
Training Department, along with the Management Team to help get
you ready and trained to take that big step once a position opens
up."
