Are you a creative student who enjoys designing meaningful user experiences and solving problems through digital design? Gulf Coast Blood is looking for a UX Design Intern to join our Marketing team for Summer 2026.
This internship offers hands-on experience in user experience design, digital interface development, and design research while supporting our mission to save lives through blood donation. You will collaborate with designers, developers, and marketing professionals to create user-centered digital experiences that help inspire and engage blood donors across multiple platforms.

In this role, you will:
- Design intuitive donor journeys for first-time and returning donors.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and accessible interfaces.
- Use research and feedback to refine digital experiences.
- Collaborate with content and video teams to ensure cohesive design.
- Redesign donor-facing experiences on the website or mobile interface.
- Conduct user research sessions (internal or external) and produce journey maps.
- Create UI mockups for donation booking flows, landing pages, or microsites.
- Test and iterate based on mentor feedback and user feedback loops.
- Adheres to Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center's policies on EEO and Safety/Health.
- Additional duties assigned.
We need someone who has:
- Strong understanding of UX and UI design principles.
- Experience with Figma, Adobe XD, or similar design and prototyping tools.
- Familiarity with user research, wireframing, and usability testing.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or responsive design is a plus.
- Curiosity about how AI tools can enhance design research, prototyping, or testing.
- Ability to communicate design decisions clearly and collaborate in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and an interest in improving user experience through thoughtful design.
- Currently enrolled in a UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or related program at an accredited college or university.
