The Mobile Operations Support Specialist plays a critical role in supporting blood collection operations by ensuring mobile units are properly stocked, equipped, and ready for daily operations. This position is responsible for loading, unloading, storing, transporting, and maintaining mobile supplies, equipment, and vehicles to support mobile blood drives and special events.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize daily operational needs to ensure smooth, efficient mobile operations.

In this role, you’ll:
The duties listed below represent the primary responsibilities of the role. Management reserves the right to modify, add, or reassign duties as operational needs require.
Determine daily equipment, materials, and supply needs based on mobile drive projections
Prioritize stocking and staging of supplies and equipment for optimal operational efficiency
Load vans and coaches according to established “Check Off” sheets; complete and submit documentation upon completion
Deliver supplies and equipment to mobile sites and internal facilities, determining the most efficient delivery routes and schedules
Support special events, including setup and breakdown of collection equipment, drapes, mall drives, and community events
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times
Identify missing, damaged, or malfunctioning equipment and report issues promptly to a supervisor
Safeguard all Blood Center property from damage or loss and assess potential risks or hazards associated with equipment handling
Clean vehicles and equipment as needed
Maintain a secured key box and accurately log all vehicle key assignments
Comply with all Blood Center policies and procedures, including operating vehicles in accordance with the VLCC
We need someone who has:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Ability to lift, move, and handle equipment and supplies as required
Valid Texas driver’s license and acceptable driving record (as applicable)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to blood and/or blood components, as well as any other biohazard materials. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
