This Leadership & Learning Consultant role partners with business leaders and HR teams to design, deliver, and evaluate learning solutions that develop leadership capability and support organizational goals. The primary focus is on leadership development, instructional design, facilitation, and performance consulting to drive employee growth and measurable business impact.
About the Role
The Consultant will assess learning needs, create targeted curricula and blended learning experiences, and deliver instructor‑led and virtual programs for leaders at all levels. This role collaborates with subject matter experts to translate business priorities into practical development initiatives, establishes measurement strategies to track learning effectiveness, and provides coaching to leaders to reinforce on‑the‑job application.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with leaders and HR to conduct learning needs analyses, competency gap assessments, and leadership capability diagnostics
Design and develop curriculum, course materials, job aids, e‑learning modules, and blended learning pathways aligned to organizational competencies
Facilitate workshops, leadership cohorts, coaching sessions, and train‑the‑trainer events in both classroom and virtual settings
Provide one‑on‑one coaching and feedback to leaders to support skill transfer and leadership effectiveness
Partner with stakeholders to implement change management and adoption strategies that reinforce learning outcomes
Define learning objectives, success metrics, and evaluation plans; analyze data to measure impact and recommend continuous improvements
Manage project timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships as needed to deliver programs on schedule
Keep learning content current by incorporating best practices, adult learning principles, and inclusive leadership approaches
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience designing, delivering, and evaluating leadership development or learning programs
Proven facilitation and coaching skills with ability to engage diverse audiences
Experience with instructional design models, e‑learning authoring tools, and virtual learning platforms
Strong partnering, project management, and stakeholder engagement experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
Commitment to inclusive practices and ability to create psychologically safe learning environments
Preferred
Certifications such as CPTD, ATD, SHRM, or coaching credentials
Experience in change management, talent management, or organizational development initiatives
Experience working in regulated environments or healthcare settings is a plus
