Position Title: QA Specialist I

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, monitors specific aspects of the Quality System Program for the proper documentation of technical and clerical errors, notifies appropriate managers of trends and provides or produces reports.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Review and assess deviation incident reports and other documents from mobile and facility operations.
  • Provide appropriate supporting documentation to assist with review and investigation of incident reports.
  • Manage databases for deviation incident reports to ensure that incidents are investigated and handled in a timely manner, reports are current and information is consistent and accurate.
  • Assist in monitoring effectiveness of Quality Systems Programs including process improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reports on quality issues and forward to management in a timely manner.
  • Review and assess Donor/Visitor Incident reports, ensuring that donor records, reports and computer systems include the same evaluation result.
  • Maintain files and/or electronic scans of QC, Lot Release and procedure records.
  • Prepare and archive files, forms and documents as needed.

 

We need someone who has:

  • High school Diploma or GED (Associate Degree from an accredited college or university is strongly preferred);

  • Minimum two (2) years experience preferred in blood banking environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience must include working in a position involving frequent interaction with the public and the use of customer service skills.

  • Ability to work weekends - every third weekend rotation.
