Position Title: Workforce Safety Coordinator

Reporting directly to the Workforce Safety & Security Manager, this role is essential in protecting the organization’s property, assets, employees, and visitors. You will be responsible for implementing safety and security procedures, enforcing access policies, and promoting a safe work environment aligned with our organizational values.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Manage the organization’s employee and visitor access policies
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to develop, prepare, and implement safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates the teammate safety & security programming (e.g. PPE, safe-lifting, de-escalation training) to promote and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Establishes badging & access criteria and process to ensure consistency.
  • Performs routine safety & security assessments to identify and address safety risks and recommends strategies for risk reduction.
  • Provides and/or implements safety protocols for all assigned facilities and information systems.
  • Takes proactive steps to provide a safe and secure working environment to staff and visitors.
  • Responsible for accident/incident investigations, providing root cause analysis.
  • Stays abreast of safety trends technology, regulations and process improvement best practices.

  • Manage safety equipment and supplies.
  • Provides administrative support to P&C team- safety communications, scheduling, PPE assessments, etc.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Classify hazards and develop effective solutions.

     

We need someone who has:

  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have excellent judgment, observation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
  • CPR First Aid Certification a plus

 

Position Driving Status: Routine Driver

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

Job duties involved an inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood with a risk of exposure to Hepatitis and HIV.
