The Construction Project Coordinator reports to the Building Manager, position is responsible for management of building and is responsible project construction coordinator job description basically involves assisting construction project managers and/or teams with the coordination of resource Reporting to the Director. In this role, you’ll:
- Assist in the preparation and tracking of project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout packages
- Coordinate day-to-day operations of commercial construction projects, ensuring alignment with project schedules and budgets.
- Communicate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services,
- Support the permitting process and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
- Monitors project milestones and report progress to project manager and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of labor materials and equipment usage.
- Conduct regular site visits to verify work progress and quality standards.
- Assists with procurement and inventory management of construction and material and tools.
- Help to enforce safety protocols and ensure job site compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Seeking and issuing appropriate legal such as contracts and terms of agreement
- Assure compliance with OSHA, ADAAA and Fire Marshall Regulations
- Overseeing and managing effectively with project manager and Director to minimize project obstacles.
- Other duties as assigned.
We need someone who has:
- Associate’s degree with 5 years construction projects experience or a combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience managing capital budgets of at least $3–$5 million.
- Direct experience coordinating with contractors, vendors, and permitting authorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).
- CAD experience a plus.
- Background in general contracting, including procurement, construction scheduling, and site supervision.
- Experience managing facility improvement projects. Healthcare or laboratory industry experience a plus.
- Ability to develop and interpret schedules, flowcharts, and action plans.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
